Darrell Padgett went from failing the first grade because of the lack of academic confidence and eventually dropping out of high school, to overcoming decades of adversities. Then he earned an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree, a master's degree with highest academic distinction, and he became an award-winning author.

He was selected to be a distinct narrator at the Obama Presidential Center where his story holds a place in history.

He is also an impactful speaker and presenter.
